Terms and Conditions

Here are the Larrikin Puppets Terms and Conditions, which are very important to read and understand for the safety, success and fun of the event.

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION FEES
a. A non-refundable deposit (down payment) of 50% of your chosen show/package cost will be required to be paid at the time of booking. This secures your booking. A performance cannot be booked until this fee has been received. This payment can be made online to our bank account or PayPal account prior to the event.

b. The remainder of the payment can be paid anytime before the event by online transfer or credit card or is otherwise required on the day of the performance as a cash payment to the performer. Larrikin Puppets apologises but we do not accept credit cards or cheques of any kind on the day of the event from clients.

c. Cancellation Fees – Once a client has booked in a time for a performance, then that time is set aside for their event exclusively. This means that Larrikin Puppets will turn away other work wanting the same date and time. Clients do need to be aware that the 50% deposit taken at the time of booking is non-refundable if the event is cancelled at any time after it is booked in with Larrikin Puppets. An event is deemed to be booked in once the 50% deposit has been received by Larrikin Puppets.

d. If the booking is cancelled by Larrikin Puppets (due to sickness or emergency, etc.), you will receive a full refund of the 50% deposit, or the option to reschedule the event for another date.

SAFETY & SUPERVISION, LOSS OR DAMAGES
a. We remind customers that the puppets are not babysitters, and that the performers cannot see if a child is approaching the stage, the puppets or other equipment. We require that young audiences are supervised by at least one adult at all times for the duration of the performance, and during the set up, meet-and-greet, and pack down. We can all work together to prevent accidents, injuries or damage to any property or equipment.

b. It is highly recommended that children do not have access to pencils, crayons, felt pens, markers, paints, glue, scissors, sticky tape, messy food, drinks in cups without lids, toy swords, wands, pool noodles, rocks, stones, tennis balls, cricket balls, golf balls, basket balls, footballs, soccer balls, water pistols or toy guns with ammunition for the duration of the puppeteer’s setup, performance, meet-and-greet and pack down. Extreme supervision measures must be applied at events where these items are present during a puppet performance or workshop.

c. All puppets, props, stage and audio equipment brought to the event remain the property of Larrikin Puppets.

d. Puppets, props, stage and audio equipment are not intended for use in wet weather conditions, as they may succumb to moisture damage.

e. The hirer agrees to pay for any lost, destroyed, stolen, or damaged puppets, props, stage or audio equipment at the hands of guests, participants and audiences (including unsupervised children or intoxicated persons). N.B. Replacement of puppets may cost up to $3000.

PHOTO CONSENT & PERMISSIONS
a. The hirer agrees that photos taken at the event may be used in advertising and promotional material for Larrikin Puppets. However, please be assured that NO images of children’s faces, or any personal details will be shared or used without the permission of the hirer.

b. Larrikin Puppets gives permission to parents, educators, participants and audience members at any given event to share any photos or videos of the puppets on social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google+), so long as they are labeled with mention of “Larrikin Puppets” and/or “Troggg”. These image posts can also be labeled by way of hashtags. eg. #LarrikinPuppets #Troggg. A hashtag is a type of metadata tag used on social media sites, allowing similarly tagged messages and images to be grouped. We allow this in the interest of spreading the word online of the entertainment services we provide.

DELAYS
a. We always try our best to be on time, but factors such as traffic, rain and delays with other shows may slightly alter schedules. Though we do contact customers in the event of a delay, please plan accordingly. And don’t worry. We will serve you for the length of the time hired.
